Meet the husband-and-wife team
The Cake Room is run by Nikki and her husband Chris. Nikki creates the decorations and finishing details, while Chris bakes the cakes. Nikki describes more than 30 years of cake-decorating experience and previously ran Sugar & Ice, a cake shop in Minehead, for over eight years.
A cake designed around your wedding
The team makes bespoke wedding cakes to suit the scale and style of a celebration, from intimate weddings to much larger gatherings. Design discussions can cover your theme, colour palette and details from the wedding itself. The website highlights handmade sugarcraft flowers and lacework, alongside a gallery of different cake styles.
Flavours and finishing touches
Published flavour options include vanilla, lemon, chocolate, salted caramel, Biscoff and white chocolate with raspberry, among others. Size, flavour and decoration are discussed as part of the design process. The Cake Room also creates birthday cakes, cupcakes and cakes for other special events, with personalised details linked to hobbies, interests or the occasion.
Delivery and planning
The team says it likes to hand-deliver wedding cakes and set them up at the venue, with a mileage fee potentially applying. Confirm your date, guest numbers, delivery access, setup timing and quotation directly.
