Flowers grown and arranged by Rose

Wild at Dawn is Rose’s farmer-florist business in Penhow, near Chepstow. She grows seasonal flowers in her own field and specialises in dried wedding flowers. The connection between growing and arranging is central to her work: for some weddings, flowers can even begin as seeds grown with that celebration in mind. Dried flowers bring texture and character to arrangements throughout the year, with pieces that can be kept after the wedding.

From bouquets to bigger floral moments

Her wedding work includes bouquets, buttonholes, floral crowns, pocket meadows, centrepieces and larger aisle arrangements. Flower wands and even floral dog collars offer ways to include smaller members of the wedding party. Rather than assuming every couple needs the same package, Rose invites conversations about the pieces, colours and atmosphere that matter to you. Her website states there is no minimum spend, making it worth enquiring about individual pieces as well as a fuller floral scheme.

Creative ways to make flowers go further

Rose also describes combining florist-made statement pieces with dried bunches for couples to arrange themselves. That could mean professionally created bouquets alongside DIY bud vases on the tables. Reusing arrangements is another possibility: aisle meadow boxes can move to the reception and later become gifts. These are ideas to discuss with Rose as part of your particular layout, rather than a fixed package.

Planning your wedding flowers

Start with your date, venue, colour palette and a list of the arrangements you are considering. Rose welcomes inspiration and decoration ideas, and her website says she can travel across the UK; delivery, travel and setup should be agreed directly. For a relaxed outdoor celebration, her field-grown flowers offer a natural way to connect the ceremony, tables and surrounding landscape.

Our connection

We met Wild at Dawn Flowers at the Bath & West Showground and loved the flowers. There is something particularly special about arrangements grown and created by the same person, with dried flowers that can be kept long after the celebration.
